Our mission, here at ThePracticingGuitarist.com, is to provide you with guitar lessons that help you to do the following:
- Think like a professional guitarist
- Learn like a professional guitarist…and
- Practice like a professional guitarist
Why do we focus on these three key areas?
Because each of those areas is reliant upon the others. If any one of those key areas is missing then you are going to have a difficult time learning, and improving your playing.
Each of our lessons are structured with the following key points in mind:
- Specific Focus
- Measurable Results
- Achievable Outcomes
- Realistic Goals
- Timely Results (Results happen when you expect them to happen)
Why are each of our courses designed to meet each of the criteria above? Because when our practice lacks these key points we experience frustration, stagnation, lack of focus and clarity and a general sense that we are not progressing the way would like to see ourselves progress.
At ThePracticingGuitarist.com we know that everyone learns differently, so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to take each of our lessons and break them down to their most fundamental level, resulting in the materials being examined from a variety of different angles and perspectives.
It’s at the fundamental level, of any concept or technique, where we must come to fully understand the details of the material we are learning. Because if we miss this opportunity the learning process becomes much more difficult over time.
This is why we show you how to continue to build your understanding of these concepts from the ground up, throughout each of our courses.
Improving Your Playing Doesn’t Have To Be Difficult
We see no reason why learning to play, or practice, the guitar should be frustrating and difficult. Do you?
Therefore, we see no reason why you should waste your time learning things that won’t immediately make you a better guitarist, and a more musical one at that.
And that is why we are here for you.
